I just got a new comforter yesterday and decided to wash it. It's a real light weight down comforter. I left it in the wash a few hours after washing it, and now it smells. I rewashed it, and dried it a couple of times with bounce, and can't get rid of the smell. Any suggestions?

sometimes you might want to do some research before you post an answer. it took me less than 25 seconds to find this. you'd be amazed of the things you can find it you look long enough. but for real, what is some of the best kind of wood to burn for time and heat intensity?

I've never done anything electrical before. What do I need to know? I cannot hire anyone to do it and my husband hasn't got the first clue.

Ok here is the scenerio. I have outdoor christmas lights hooked up to a outdoor cord. My house does not have a outdoor outlet so I have an adapter hooking the outdoor to the indoor then through the front door and plugging it into the living room leaving the indoor plug subjectable to the elements. I solved that by wrapping a paper bag over that part. I feel deep down that I am being stupid but Im not one to trust my instincts and I know squat about electricity. Not looking for a lesson more of the percentage of death and destruction.

Our furnace does not shut off at the set temperature. I have it set on "auto" and "heat". When it reaches the set temperature, it stops blowing warm air and just blows air (from the basement, so it's cool air).

Does this affect our gas bill? Right now, we turn it to "off" when it stops blowing warm air. It's a pain at night because it gets pretty cold. We rent, so as far as landlords go...we have a typical one... no response for days. Is there something simple we can do or will he have to call for service? We tried replacing the thermostat thinking this would fix our problem. Any suggestions?

The flooring I've got is not the usual tongue and groove, which I have laid before no problems. This is called Profi-loc, and has a ridiculus type of click together system. It can click longways fine, but not the small bit where the two planks meet in the middle. The edging on the end does not reach quite far enough. It has a stupid hump on one side, which has to click into the other and get past this other bit and fit into a little groove on this lip. Difficult to explain really. I am really *issed off with it as my mother bought it (got the same flooring as b4 but different clicky stuff) and as on offer etc can't take it back. Have cut a few planks from one pack. Have told her to take it back but she won't (She'd rather get someone else to do it), if all else fails do you think I'd have a good case to return it? Though I would prefer to get it work if I don't burn it all first. Please help...................

Tell you what colours you should paint your house in, or that it is a good idea to choose the same colours through out the house, rather than different themes for each room.

I have an electric stove range about 7 years old and just recently in the past month it trips the circuit while being used also it trips the circuit when it's not being used.
I check the breaker and the switch is in between on/off. I am wondering if the short is because the stove range is getting old and needs to be replaced or do I need call an electrican to check out my plug?

The electric stove range is plugged into a dedicated range socket. Please advise. thank you!
