I personally think it's because of the stigma that comes with people who are on section 8. Many people believe people on section 8 are ghetto and would cause problems etc... so they would rather just stick them all in the bad areas. I know that is not the case there are many people who are on section 8 because they are disabled but no matter how wrong it is there is still and will always be that generalization. Also I believe it lowers the property value.

I can't even get on sec.8 because they said there is a 2-3 yr. wait, so finding a sec. 8 home in Tx anyway is not hard, its the getting on the program for it. There are to many people out there who dont need it and abuse it. Hope you find a house whever you are at. Try the Greensheet, or DMN.

Because if you get a try to better yourself and get a better job, you would not have to be on section 8 housing, not unless you have 10 kids form 8 different guys and are nothing but welfare trash...

Because most landlords would prefer to avoid having to deal w/ section 8 tenants if they can. So, the ones who'll take sect. 8 tend to be ones with fewer people looking to rent from them.

it depends on the neighborhood you are looking in
maybe by lowering your standards a little you might find the place you are looking for, maybe a bigger place instead of a nice location

BECAUSE MOST PEOPLE ON SECTION 8 DON'T CARE ABOUT ANOTHER PERSONS PROPERTY SO IT GETS TRASHED VERY QUICKLY.
