I have a little audio mixing board and various accessories that I am going to build a carrying case for out of wood. It's more a woodworking hobbyist type project but I do plan to use it. I want to line the inside with some protective padding to keep it from moving around during transport. Maybe some mini egg crate foam. I've found some stuff around the web but it seems to be commercial/industrial targeted and in quantities I could never use. Any ideas on where I might be able walk in and buy such a thing? I'm drawing a blank.

The pilot light for my Glow-worm back boiler unit keeps going out when I use my central heating.

This is a recent problem. Everything was fine until 24 hours ago.

Whenever I re-light my pilot light it seems to stay on until I turn on my central heating - and then it goes out after between 20 minutes and three hours.

I re-lit the pilot light last nite, for example, and it stayed on all nite. But it went out this morning 20 minutes after I switched on the central heating.

I'll be calling a CORGI repair man at some point. But I would like to be well briefed beforehand.

i just moved into a house with a laminate floor already laid. its an oak color at the moment and as yet it has no trim. I really want to change the color to a darker color like mahogany. are there any products available that can be painted on to the floor and will produce a hardwearing finish?

Ok so I have this wrinkled "dry clean only" clothing. How do you get the wrinkles out without dry cleaning? I've tried hanging it in the bathroom while I shower to let the steam smooth out the wrinkles, but that hasn't really worked. Any advice will be appreciated, thanks!

This is actually the second time I stained it. The first time it ended up sticky but I thought it was because I did it in cold weather. So I sanded off the coat and tried again. Please help!

I know everyone doesn't do this, but a lot do! they have huge tool collections, but seldom use them. What is the point? I'm sure there are many handy man out there, who do use tools often, and the ones I know usually have a small collection which they use all the time. The other ones have a whole basement full and don't use them.

I would like to leave the existing front of the garage, build a wall across & knock down the non-supporting wall from the dining room to make one large room across the back of the house & then create a new kitchen diner. This would involve moving a gas hob across the house to the current outside wall of the garage & a sink & dishwasher to a wall which has a cloakroom toilet on the other side. I'd just like an estimate to know if it's feasible to do it one day!
