Vanish oxy stain remover is great. Even on dried in stains.

Would have been better to have treated it before washing - but heck, that's too late. Bad luck. If you're in the UK have you tried 'Vanish'? It's pretty good. Spray the stain while it's still dry, make sure it's wet with the fluid both back and front, rub between your fingers a bit. Leave for 5-10 minutes, then wash it again. I've been able to treat some horrors successfully with this stuff, it really works.

I seem to remember it says that stubborn stains might need more than one application - but a shirt that price is worth working at! Best of luck!

Hope you didn't put it in the dryer as well, because that will make a stain "set" into the fabric. I have used carbonated soda water before--but for you, I would recommend spraying "Shout" or "Spray-N-Wash" on the stain, letting it sit for at least 4 hours, then washing it again with a gentle detergent. See if that helps.

Squeeze some washing up liquid over the stain and leave for a few hours before washing. Use oxytet stain remover in the machine when you wash it too.

I use carpet cleaner for stains I can't get out with spray and wash. I spray the cleaner on the shirt and wait for about 30 minutes. Then I wash it. I use 409 Carpet Cleaner (not the regular cleaner) or the Oxyclean Carpet Cleaner.

I have 4 sons so have had lots of practice!

Good luck.

Don't let the shirt dry as I feel it may make the stain more permanent, try using vanish soap bar and rubbing it in really well before putting it on the hottest recommended temp in the machine.
Good luck
