I've checked hot and cold handle vales everything thing seems ok.

House was built in the 1920's and the seperate garage was added shortly thereafter. Not exactly sure when though. I often see birds inside the garage pecking at the floor. They have managed to do some damage to the floor over the years. ( I have only been here about a year,) I have gone out there,scared them away and looked for bugs or ants but I see nothing. Could the old cement have something in it that birds like??

Last night we had a good old fashioned crab boil and had newspaper on the table. Some of the liquid went through the paper. When I took up the paper I had all these white spots there. How do I get rid of them? When I scratch those spots, it comes off a little, but there is still some lightening under there.

I have an old brick house which has a blacktop driveway abutting one side. I can tell that at one point there was some sort of black sealant between the two as there is some residual black stuff on the house. I am interested in putting something down to reduce water seeping between the house and the driveway.

I moved to the mountains about 8 months ago and I've recently discovered I have a mouse problem, which I'm not surprised because I'm surrounded by wildlife. People told me to get cats to keep the mice away but I can't because I have 2 dogs. Also, I would rather not use mouse traps, they seem so unsanitary and messy. I have checked all the walls and cupboards, I don't even know how they're getting in! Any suggestions on how to get rid of these pests?

I just moved into a house in Indiana and found out that there is squash growing in the yard. I don't know what type it is and was hoping for some help. It is about 7 or so in" tall and about 8" around. It is shaped like a BIG eggplant and is green with yellow spots. It is pretty much smooth with a few bumps on it. Can anyone help??
