All kinds of soundproofing materials have popped up on the market. None of them will do the job that you're looking for. Here's the reason. Sound travels through solid materials. If you have a partition with whatever wall board on one side nailed to a stud, then another wallboard. The vibration hits one side, is carried through the stud to the other wallboard, which continues by carry some of the sound.
For excellent soundproofing you must break the direct route. Use double studs, not touching each other. You have to split the top and bottom plates. Spread them about half an inch apart. All studs on one side are nailed to one plate, the others to the other plate. Before nailing down your bottom plate, be sure to saw a kerf directly under the wall to break the vibration passage through he floor.
Putting insulation in the wall won't do the trick. Remember, it's the solid material that carries the vibrations.
