My la-z-boy recliner squeaks when rocking. It appears to come from the 4 big springs in the rocking mechanism. I applied some wd40 to the springs, but it didn't fix the problem. Any suggestions?

I have a large steam roller and I wanted to clean it with Formula 420. The bottle is full of what looks like crystals, but in the directions, it says shake F420 bottle thoroughly and make sure there is an even distribution of crystals and liquid. it doesn't say anything about adding water. When do I add the water? Do i add it to the bottle or do I add it after i pour the crystals on my peice? also not sure what category to put this in.

I live in Iowa and we tend to have cold winters (Average temperature Dec-Feb is below 32 degrees). We live in a slab home (no basement) and I believe the water pipes are under the house. We are into conserving the natural gas heat (we're cheap too, haha) and don't turn our heat on until the thermostat drops below 55 degrees. Is it bad not to run the furnace until then? Last year we waited until the end of January to run our heat, but we lived in an apartment. Will our pipes freeze if I we choose not to run the furnace, or is that only if we don't run hot water? I have no problem utilizing our blankets for heat. Help please!

...noticed that some of them are making a remarkable recovery? There is a Conker tree in Mitcham, Surrey, along the common that has not only grown new leaves but also has blossom on it too. I thought it was a one off at first but then I saw another one today with new leaves but no blossom yet. Let me know if you have seen anything like it please.

I recently added a high effeciency 2 stage furnace, and am wondering what I should set the temperature differential on my thermostate, options are 1,2, or 3 degrees. I only have a one stage thermostate and so the 2nd stage will kick in if it hasn't satisfied the desired temperature after 12 minutes.
Is it better for the furnace to have a lower setting, 1, and have the furnace come on more but operate at the first stage more?
Or have it come on less, 2 or 3, and have it run for longer and move into stage 2?

Thanks,
Rich
