I want to purchase a table-type saw in order to make small wood objects with, BUT it also allow me to cut wood that would at least be 3-4 inches deep. Would anyone recommend a particular type of saw that would give me precision cuts?

I have heard of electric Miter saws by Hitachi, for example.

Are there any other kinds that would do a similar job. Money is a concern, as I would like to keep it under $200.

Thanks!

I have just moved into a new hope with granite counter tops. I am concerned about the finish but not sure what it really should be like. It almost seems like a step was skipped in the finishing. There are many many small scratch like spots that you can feel with your finger tip as well as with your finger nail when you move it across the surface. Should the finish be completely smooth? Thank you so much for any help you can give me.

I need 2 different types of interior door. French doors for my bedroom because the doorway is oversized and of an odd size, so nothing else will really fit there, and 2 sets of closet doors- 1 for the closet in the bedroom and 1 for the closet in the living room. The closet in the bedroom will more likely then not have to use the closet doors that run on a track- the ones with the slats in them. I think they are called bifold doors. The closet in the living room will probably have to use this type of door as well, it's another one of those oversized/oddly sized doorways. All the major stores (home depot, lowes, etc.) seem to be asking hundred of dollars for even the most basic door, and I haven't been able to track down bifold closet doors at all so far, though I admit I haven’t been looking long. Any suggestions on where to go to get reasonably priced doors of these types in Brooklyn NY or somewhere close by? Thanks!

My hubby has his 'football' room - it's decorated after his team the Jacksonville Jaguars. The walls are teal, the trim is white, the accessories are gold, furniture is black leather - the problem is the floor!!! Right now it's black painted concrete which I am sick and tired of trying to keep clean!!!
Does anyone have any suggestions for floor alternatives? He wants to remain black - but if you have a better idea I want to hear it. Also cost is not relevant so any and all ideas please and thank you!

I have a above ground 12 x 24 pool. I want to know how often YOU shock and back wash; and the cycle you use to backwash.

Here is a link to some pics from my potted petunias. Although the season is almost over, they have had this "spindly" look all summer. Why are they like this? Too much sun? Heat? They are Waves, by the way.

Please only answer if you are relatively sure it is the correct response as I do not want to ruin it erroniously.

The green leaves have orange yellow splotches on them and on the reverse side of the leaf, opposite from the splotches is some pointy spikey things. Then the leaves turn brown and fall off. It doesn't seem to be affecting the apples at all. But there aren't many leaves left on it. Does anyone know what this is or what I can do about it.

Last Halloween, a pumpkin rotted on my breezeway table, fell to the concrete floor and split. The contents naturally spilled out, I cleaned it up but am left with a black stain on the concrete on which I have used bleach, 409 and cleanser. I'm thinking I'll have to get something like BULLS EYE and paint over it. Any ideas?
