We live in eastern Missouri and mosquitos are terrible here. We already have bat houses put up. What are some other ways to help control the population of mosquitos?

I want to try one of those propane powered gizmos, but I don't have $500 to spend on one.

I have never found a way to clean them effectively that is not a huge hassle, but I have to admit I haven't really tried all that hard, so any ideas you have will probably be new to me.

I cannot quite work out how to support the rock to ensure the water drains back into the "pond" below. The pond of course would be hidden from view by smaller stones around the base of the rock.

I want to retire early! SF with no kids & big dogs. Looking for a home in decent shape, 800-1200 sqft, preferably with a little land. I can relocate anywhere in the USA - rural, small town, small city (NMT 100,000) but NOT a larger city. Price, safety, and stress free living are my number one priorities. Also, great outdoor lifestyles activities (hiking, mountain biking...etc) and low property & state taxes would be a huge bonus. I am fine with rural as long as I'm within about 100 miles of an area with modern convieniences. Any suggestions? Any one know of any great places, tucked away somewhere with cheap, easy, stress free living?

Minimalist? Resort? Traditional? Country? Asian? Avante-Garde? Zen? Any thing goes? Why?

This is a carpet spray used by the fitters when they put the carpet down. The glue is still on the laminate after I have taken the carpet up.
