Bats work for me. One bat will eat 3000-5000 mosquitos per night!
How long have you had your bat houses? It may take up to a year for the bats to find and inhabit them. Do you have the right kind, in the right locations? Bats prefer separate houses - a large one for the females, a shallow one for the males. Google Coveside Conservation for more specific info, or e-mail me. You will never eliminate ALL the mosquitos, but I haven't had a bite all summer! Nor last year either!

A natural way to control mosquitos is with concentrated garlic extract...it can be bought online and spread by mixing with some water and using a garden sprayer. It will make your yard stink for a day (smells like a pizza), but the effects last for a couple months. It will greatly reduce the number of mosquitos and you can use an natural spray which can be bought at a health food store (such as Whole Foods) to help repel any stragglers (may primarily of citronella oil, ceader oil and peppermint oil. )

Get some peppermint oil, and place several drops on a tissue, then place in a small round bowl on the table. Sheets of fabric softer work also. Place a few banana skins 10 feet away from everyone; the mosquito's will be attracted to the banana skins like magnet.

sorry there's nothing you can do to control mosquito's. Just try to keep everything dry, no puddles of water around or in your gutters. I use tea tree oil to keep them off it works a lot better than skin so soft and Citronella. If you need anymore info feel free to contact me.

I have property on swampy water in Florida, I do nothing to control the mosquitos, just put on skin so soft body lotion from avon, it works, they stay away. I never even see them flying around me, try it, it's well worth it, and safe for infants.

Where I live there are just too many, we have bats and gekkos who all enjoy eating them.
One thing that helps is basil (the herb). I have two basil bushes on either side of my bedroom window and they keep away. Also if you just brush the basil with your hands and rub onto your skin, it keeps them off.

Citronella sprays and candles are quite effective, but nowhere near so as those more high tech ones.

Try putting up some purple martin apartments, they only eat flying insects.
