They make false complaints to council about our dog, have thrown dog poo & dirt on my verandah & outdoor furniture, write nasty letters complaining about wind chimes, scream abuse over the fence, threatening to f#*k us legally!! What is the best way to sort this, they are not rational, they only yell. We have told them to stay off our property, they send their kids to ring our door bell and run a few times!

I planted poppy and nasturtium seeds last Spring. I have a 4 foot plant growing that has little blackish pods and some yellow flowers and I have no idea what this is...any ideas? It has large green leaves that are very soft to the touch, yet they are thick and hardy. They resemble leaves on an eggplant and they are heart shaped.

Okay I have a bunch of uniform shirts and they go down to my knees, and the sleeves are at my elbows. I have three days until it is time to wear them, how do I get them to shrink FAST?? (They are all %100 percent cotton, but not the soft cotton like your favorite shirt, but stiff, icky cotton.) Other than putting them through the washer?

HELP!

I am trying to convert an old 4 prong jack to the modular type. I bought an RCA modular wall outlet (model TP247) that has 4 wires (green, black, red, yellow) attached to screws with the other ends stuck in little holes in the top. I have coming from the wall, two sets of wires. Each set has a solid orange wire, an orange and white, a solid blue, a blue and white, a solid green and a green and white wire. The instructions say "connect the 4 wires to the corresponding terminal posts. Be sure to match wire colors"

1) Do I just leave alone the wires on the back of the outlet since both ends of each are attached, and then attach the appropriate wires from the wall to the screws?

2) How do I "match" two sets of 6 wires colored orange, blue, and green and striped versions of each to the 4 screws with black red, green and yellow ???

i just pulled off some of the beaten up trim in my kitchen (the previous owner's dog chewed it up good!) to replace and discovered that (i think) the paint just peels right off! the surface of the wall (and the back of the peeled off paint strips) is kind of dusty and powdery (kind of like plaster that hasn't been sealed yet).

does this, indeed, mean that the walls were never primed? and if so, can i primer over the existing paint job and paint my new color, or do i have to pull off all of the old paint, then primer and then paint?

i realize everyone now knows i'm lazy, but it's a big kitchen and i need to finish this job quickly (company coming!!). however, with that said, i'll do it if it's the only way to ensure a lasting and good looking paint job.

i'd really appreciate any advice and suggestions. thanks in advance!!

It's been growing great, but started losing it's leaves. Incidentally, we came into some money from an insurance settlement from a flood! The tree started losing the leaves soon after that.

The backyard neighbor built their fence approx. 5' onto their own property due to an electrical box on the corner of our shared lot line. We want to fence in our backyard should we, could we dare to ask to butt-up to theirs? If not, there will be approx. 10' of land in between the two fences. We were thinking of a vinyl picket fence. Will this look OK?

Well, we did get a ripe one yesterday, but it was much smaller and recent than the huge ones that came out first and that I think should've been ripe by now.

Is it possible for them to just stay green? Like, if I did something wrong, that they never get ripe? I'm being tempted to start picking them green and eating them like that *loves green tomatoes*

Hi guys, my wife and I are first time home buyers. We found a really great fix-up house that has some problems, but a ton of character. Our main concern for resale (when the time comes) is there's only one bedroom. There is an unfinished basement, but I would say that it is less than six feet high. There's no ceiling, just boards. Is there any way to gain more heighth out of the basement???

Thanks,
Dan Johnson

The water comes out at 35 pounds of pressure and then drops to 20, we cannot run more than 1 water source at a time. I assume its low water table, hubby thinks it could be the pump going out. Someone suggested having our well drilled deeper, its 100ft.

We did check the points on the regulator and the regulator is doing its job.

Any ideas on other things we can trouble-shoot ourselves before calling an expert?

I want to get orange blossoms for the table for our first anniversary since that and the pansy are the flowers for the first year. When do they typically bloom and are they hard to find outside of Flordia? Would most flowers shops have access to and be able to create some kind of arrangement with them? I don't want silk, I'd really like to have real ones.
Thanks!
