My hubby has his 'football' room - it's decorated after his team the Jacksonville Jaguars. The walls are teal, the trim is white, the accessories are gold, furniture is black leather - the problem is the floor!!! Right now it's black painted concrete which I am sick and tired of trying to keep clean!!!
Does anyone have any suggestions for floor alternatives? He wants to remain black - but if you have a better idea I want to hear it. Also cost is not relevant so any and all ideas please and thank you!

googel a carpet or tile sports floor coverings....i have seen these where u can get ur teams log on the center of the carpet and rest of the colors match.....i just built a media room in my house and i was able to find carpet that had the "reels of film" and pop corn boxes and such in the carpet, very cool.....
or u can search for ceramic tile with his colors....

Sounds like it has an epoxy type or high gloss finish.
They do have black rubber flooring. They use it is restaurant kitchens, and some commercial kitchens and playrooms for homes. There are a few variants.
Two primary types:
1: Looks like on open mesh sort of thing. Matte black, and sometimes has gray woven in. This is usually sectional, and can be picked up and moved around.
2: Flat black rubber with geometric raised designs. Several types, including the permanent to the removable in varying sizes, for ease of portability.
Of course, you could have someone cut lines in the floor to resemble tiles, and then stain it, and seal it with a flat or matte finish.

Since the floor is concrete, I bet it gets cold too. My home is white with black trim, and I have a 47 foot covered deck on the back, that I wanted to stop painting. I ended up getting a really pretty indoor outdoor carpet, that is ribbed...looks kind of like corduroy. I got it at Lowes, and they had it in black as well as other colors. I started to get the black, but I decided on the slate gray to match the shingles I pressure wash it, but it sweeps easily too. If you have light colored pets, I recommend you not get the dark carpet.

You could always try to sell him on a different color floor, as the black leather furniture will make a black floor of any type look pretty shoddy.
If he insists on keeping it black, see if you can get a mural painter to do some work on the floor to break up the "I'm falling into a black hole" feeling.

He wants a black floor, make him clean it.
Black tile or carpet would be just as much of a pain in the *** to clean as painted concrete.

I have wooden floors and it's easy to keep clean. Not much of a floor guy so I can't give good expertise but hey ask Jesus he was a carpenter. Tell your hubby to come over to the dark side and join us Oakland Raiders, we WILL win the SUPER BOWL this year. WOO-HOO!!!

YOU CAN PAINT A DESIGN IN THE TEAL AND A VERY PALE CREAM OVER THE BLACK AND STILL KEEPTHE TEAM COLORS....EITHER CUT A STENCIL OR SIT ON THE FLOOR AND DRAW WITH A LIGHTER MARKER OR FINE COLOR PENCIL.... AROUND THE EDGE.....PRINT THE NAME JACKSONVILLE JAAGUARS OVER AND OVER IN LARGE PRINT (ART STORES SELL THE COMPLETE ALPHABET IN FANCY OR BLOCK LETTERS) MAKE IT BLEND WITH THE CENTER DESIGNS ANY LEFT OVER FLOOR PAINT WILL DO AND THEN JUST COAT A COUPLE OF TIMES WITH CLEAR FLOOR SEALANT OR SPAR VARNISH....YOU CAN MAKE IT LOOK LIKE A GREAT RUG BY FLITING YOUR BRUSH OUT AND ACROSS AT EACH END MAKING A FAUX LARGE TASSLE FRINGE....ITS FUN DID IT ...LOOKS COOL HINT ....IF YOU GET THE LETTER STENCILS IN FANCY PRINT YOULL HAVE TO CALL HIS ATTENTION TO THE FACT THAT ITS HIS TEAM NAME....YOULL LOVE IT GOOD LUCK

Well since you're rich and cost is irrelevant, do it up in some nice black tile. You can even do some teal inlays, just hope he doesn't switch teams!

Paint it green like a football field or the Jags endzone. That way you can dance in the endzone .
It might draw a flag though.
