I've been growing some basil plant I bought from the grocery. The bottom half of the plant has yellow leaves, while the top is green. They're growing in pots an are about 1 ft tall.

I've heard this is a sign they're not getting enough sunlight, but they get about 12 hours/day with the daily temp 25C.

Any suggestions on what might be wrong with them?

sometimes i wear running/walking shoes without socks and it feels soooo good. other times it doesnt feel good and im glad i have a sock. but i only have one pair of shoes and im wondering if wearing without socks is a bad idea? does anyone else wear them without socks and why? also, i dropped my shoes in the creek and sometimes they are soaked from wet grass. being barefoot in my shoe could create problems and there could be germs. would you suggest lysol, or.. what other form of cheap simple stuff would u use inside your shoe to temporarily kill germs, or do u think its not necessary - maybe a washer machine wash now n then?

I have four cats and most of my house is carpeted. I've had horrible luck with vacuum cleaners. Should I break down and get a high end vacuum cleaner? (No, vacuum cleaner salesmen, Please.)

Hi EFF Furnaces seem to have DC Motors for variable speed fan control. The claim is that it can give you a savings of $200 - $300 annual savings. Is this true? Any one had experience?

How do I get skid marks out of underwear? is bleach the best bet? or maybe something you have tried works.

I have become very diligent about wiping thoroughly throughout the day. I carry wipes with me everywhere, but what's in the past is in the past, and I'd like to clean out skid marks so my girlfriend does not see them.

i don't know how it got there but there was some thick, super glue on my car (outside). it looked like someone squeezed the glue out of a tube or something. i tried to wipe it off with paper but then i couldn't remove it completely. i tried to wash off with water but didn't work. and now there's a thin layer of glue on the car which doesn't look so good. is there any way i can wipe it off clean?

For energy efficiency, I've heard it's best to turn off the ceiling fan when you leave the room, but my husband says we should leave it on to circulate the air & keep the house cool.
