Bait is far more affective than spray. Spray forma a barreir that ants can not cross, a few will die but quickly they adapt a find alternative ways to get food. so by spraying the outside you actually trapped them inside..now they are lookinginside for food...put bait down, do not spray near it, try and put it where you see the most ants, as this is probably close to the nest. Letthe ants eat, they will then lay a phermone and the other ants will make their way to the bait..they will feed the nest including the Queen(s) you will kill all living ants in the nestthis way..the eggs will not die so a few weeks, or month later another hatch will happen, do the same thing again..usually twice and the nest is gone...then go ahead after they are gone, spray the inside basebaorad, and the outside foundation every 3-4 months for maintenance.

I live in a tropical country and often have this problem The best way for me so far is to spray inside when you see more than 10 ants. Be sure to stay away for a while after spraying. And always keep the inside very, very clean all the time. I spray outside only once in a while when there are toooooooo many visible ants.

They fly. I read that if you draw a chalk line they won't cross it, but you also need a screen door. Some people squirt them with lemon juice, but then the wasps are later attracted to that! Keep spraying! Try powder indoors, it's easier to brush off stuff.

Good luck. Oh, after we moved we kept hearing about little ant-homes made of cardboard with something that lures them in there & then kills them. Maybe you can find those online.

Buy "Ant Stakes" at the store. You place them at intervals around your house. When I used these I never had ants in the house.

mix borax and sugar with water in a jar lid. Even safer is sugar and pool sand.It cuts them up when they bring it back to the nest and kills them all .Its safe for humans and pets.

As funny as this is going to sound----put used coffee grounds around your home outside. My father told me this and I thought he was nuts......but it does work.
