I don't want to use poisons because we have a baby, dog, and cats. I'm so tired of the ants. I wipe them up but they always come back. They go after everything and they get into the animals food bowls. Sometimes they even come after me because of how messy breastmilk can be. I hate them and I want them gone. Any suggstions? Please.

Im getting married, and am planning for October 28th. Im in Mid-Michigan. I want to do outdoors, but cannot remember for sure if there are still leaves left that late or not? There is a large variety of trees, but I believe that Poplar (cottonwood) and Beech are more prevaliant in the area. Along with these bushy shrubby things..not decorative, but naturaly growing. Im hoping for leaves with color, or will the leaves be gone by then (or all brown...)

i have 2 unused simple set pool pumps. I am deciding to use them for my pond. Do they need to be primed. Will they not work in this application since they are above water level in the pond instead of them being below water level when connected to an above ground pool. they worked great when they were connected to the above ground pools. Any tips? thanks

I'm not a big drinker.. I'd rather smoke weed.. so will there be a shortage of weed because of all the beer?? OK, no, but on a serious note, will it be difficult to focus on school?

i have a supersnack sunflower that i planted this spring and has grown about 5 feet+ tall. It was just about to bloom when suddenly the entire head has been snipped off. Was it a squirrel? A mean neighbor? It's planted next to a fence, i live in an urban area. What predators are out there for sunflowers and what can i do to protect them?

The bowl was originally unfinished or lightly oil-finished wood, possibly maple. The stains are not only darker than the surrounding wood but sticky. I'm sure they are vegetable oil, not petroleum based. Thanks in advance for the great advice!

Believe it or not, winter is coming.

And I saw a really fuzzy caterpillar the other day which means that it is really going to be cold this year!

The reason I'm asking this question is because I took The Work Keys Assessment test about two months ago because it's one of the requirements to get into the Carpenters apprenticeship program. You had to score a level 4 in order to go on to the next step. There was like 4 different tests. Math and Teamwork were two of them. I scored a level 6 on the math part and a level 3 on the teamwork part. This assessment is administered by video and contains twelve teamwork scenarios, each accompanied by three multiple-choice items. The scenarios and items are based on actual demands of the workplace. Selections take the form of video presentations of teams in various workplace settings with a variety of problems or requirements. Examinees must identify the most appropriate teamwork responses to specific situations. I chose the answers that would cause the least amount of conflict, so I don't understand why I failed this part.
