I have a clogged toilet and also bath tub. I am thinking it goes through the same pipe. I used liquid and nothing. They suggested for me to use an auger but I am wondering if this is too short for the problem. Also, they recommended a snake but they told me I need to remove the toilet since it might break the toilet. I want to make this as easy as possible without spending too much money. My last resource is get a plummer but gosh they are pricey. Anyone with any suggestions and tips?

This is the first time I have grown yellow tomatoes, Cherry ones at that, and I really don't know how to tell if they are ripe. They seem to tast good when I pick them when they are sort of a yellow orange, but if I miss them they just seem to turn redder and still taste good. When I have bought them they have been more of a yellow but these don't seem to ever get there just go from green to that orange color.

I have wood parquet tiles and the stores discounted the tiles about a year ago,but only the color I used not the darker color. I'm not replacing cabinets in the same place. I need to fill the void because that place will be open.

We have several roses which all have rather a lot of odd eggs laid into the stems. I wonder if it could be some kind of sawfly (rose stem sawfly perhaps?!) as we've also had those tiny black and green caterpillars that stick their tails in the air when you prod them.

The eggs themselves seem to be laid in an ordered pattern of two back to back rows, laid into an open split on the woody stem, and are a dingy yellow.

Anyone know what these are and how to get rid of them without too many nasty chemicals?

My son has asked me to save the top of the pineapple so he can grow another one. I made sure I cut it at its base, with no fruit attached. So what do I do now? Being a bromilead, if the bottom leaved get wet, will it rot? Are there any additives I need to put into the water to aid rooting?

I am redecorating my bedroom in the house I just bought. I have all of it done except for the corners and edges because there is one wall that is another color than the rest so I can't just slap paint up there, I have to be careful. Do I tape it? How can I go about doing this?

For Christmas I am going to make our spare bedroom in the basement into a den for my husband while he is out of town. He doesn’t want to do it because we are really tight on money. He always puts me and everything before himself.

He is a huge baseball guy. I am making the room baseball theme, his favorite team is the Cubs. I am looking for some cheap ideas? I don’t really know what is in a den? Guys... what would you really want in your den?

The stains look like bleach splattered on to the fabric, but we don't use bleach. The first time my husband washed my bolero, it was fine -- no stains. Then when he washed it again, some strange light stain appeared on it. This also happens to our towels and we can't understand why. He already puts the detergent in the washer before the clothes so that the detergent doesn't land directly on the clothes. Help!

We have been asked to help renovate some church pews that are upholsterd back and seat. The padding seems to be fine. The edges of the material is glued and stapled. The ends of the seats do not touch the ground so for looks only. Do we remove the top molding to start and if so what would be the best way? Also, any idea on a cost?

I have a low mass boiler (LAARS Oil Fired 140K BTU) feeding two circuits with airhandler mounted hot water coils. The first airhandler is physically beside the boiler, and already plumbed in with 3/4" copper... the second is about 75' away (150' roundtrip), this is the one I wish to use 1" PEX tubing for the supply and return lines. I generally run the boiler between 180 and 200 degrees F, but on occassion will reach 210F (max).
