I have wood parquet tiles and the stores discounted the tiles about a year ago,but only the color I used not the darker color. I'm not replacing cabinets in the same place. I need to fill the void because that place will be open.

Use a different color or accent tile.

Get creative! How about some oak snap together flooring? It doesn't have to the be same thing, it can be a border of another color and would look really nice. Draw out the floor plan on a grid paper and think of other alternatives. Basically as long as the floor is level, you could put anything around that area! Good luck..sounds like fun to me!

Take off some of the other tiles so that you have a pattern and then fill in with something that compliments your old....Lowes is a great place to start. Good Luck!

If you can't match it, how about put some sort of pattern there and pretend
you MEANT to do that.

Perhaps tile work?

You may actually want to make the thing you put there instead be somewhat
bigger than the space you are trying to cover - to make it line up with things,
etc.

However, when life gives you lemons, you get artistic!

I would take some tiles from an inconspicuous place like a closet and then just throw a rug in the closet.

Make it a decoration project. Use accent, contrast strategy.
