Can you still join the Carpenter's union without going through thier apprenticship program?

The reason I'm asking this question is because I took The Work Keys Assessment test about two months ago because it's one of the requirements to get into the Carpenters apprenticeship program. You had to score a level 4 in order to go on to the next step. There was like 4 different tests. Math and Teamwork were two of them. I scored a level 6 on the math part and a level 3 on the teamwork part. This assessment is administered by video and contains twelve teamwork scenarios, each accompanied by three multiple-choice items. The scenarios and items are based on actual demands of the workplace. Selections take the form of video presentations of teams in various workplace settings with a variety of problems or requirements. Examinees must identify the most appropriate teamwork responses to specific situations. I chose the answers that would cause the least amount of conflict, so I don't understand why I failed this part.

You can still join and pay your dues,but then you have to continue your apprenticship progam until all test,s have expired different areas of carpentary.Try it you will like and get all the work you want.
