Is there a way to make your veins more visible or the veins thicker/larger?

As much as I hate having my blood drawn, I have to go get a blood test done tomorrow at a hospital, and every time that I go get a blood test done, the lab people are complaining that they can't see my veins! I've never met a phlebotomist who got the blood at the first try...I'm pale and it's not like I have so much fat on my arm or anything...my veins are invisible! The lab people always have to use the butterfly needles and I even had one person cursing in front of me because they wasted five needles, while another time, I spent 30 minutes at a lab, while there was a long line of people waiting outside.

I've tried drinking more fluid, but that doesn't seem to help that much. The phlebotomists told me that my veins are small, too, and that whenever they poke a needle in, my veins keep moving away from the needle. Do you know a way to make the veins more visible?!

I have 3 piercings (non-cartilage) on both of my ears and I plan to get 2 cartilage piercings per ear. My friend said this can affect my health greatly; is this true?

Skylor, my friend, is complaining that he has stomach pains and he has hot-flashes all over his body. He says there is no designated spot in his stomach where it hurts; just all over.

He's 14, if that makes any difference...

The pain is located on both sides of my jaw about an inch down from my ear and bordering my neck. When I press in that locations in both sides it's very painful (though I notice it more on my left). I'm don't think it's wisdom teeth as the pain isn't near there and I have no other pain around the mouth area. I don't know what this could be from?

I smashed my nose playing soccer and i have had reconstructive surgery. however becuase my nose was smashed in it looked abnormally small, so my doctor fixed the bone and added a cartilage graft to increase the size, but it still looks smaller than before, he told it would grow a few milimeters but didnt say when does anybody know?

HeLp Me Please. Okay, I am 18 years old, and i guess I caught a cold. I am so stubborn and i won't take ANY type of medicine. wether it be prescription or off the counter...like motril or tyelonal. I will only take it when i am in dire neeeeed of it. And i usually put up with pain, cuz i let my body naturally fight it. Is that even a good idea? Okay...now the problem is.....I cant stop figiting around...my legs feel like they need to be stretced and my back feels like it needs to be moved. This never happened before, so im wondering if it had anything to do with being sick? I feel so much better when i do those HARD leg bending exercises. It actually feels good for my legs...rather than hurt. Why am i so shaky, and cant sit still. I am almost on my period too...maybe that could have something to do with it??

Pleaaaase responddd...i would really like to know! thankkkzzz

Hello-
I am curious about something. I am a fairly healthy 27 year old who has trouble sleeping. I've had insomina for years and every doctor that I go to seems to think sleeping pills are horrible & dangerous. I have gotten them to let me try Ambien, Lunesta, & Sonata. (Not at the same time! LOL) They give me a few at a time...which to me seems stupid. I've read of people taking drgs like these for years to get relief. I'm not looking to get addicted to anything, I just need some relief from fatigue. What can I say to get them to give me a regular prescription for a sleeping aid? OTC pills do nothing but make me drowsy the next day. Thanks!

He's had a few 'slip-ups', and feels incredibly guilty about lying to me about it. I want to help him get over his pot addiction, but I'm not sure what to do as I haven't been faced with drug addiction before. He's super scared about losing me over this, and I try to assure him that I'm not leaving, I just want to help him fully quit pot. What do I do?

I have heard from many people, the most part of your growing is during your sleep. I have also heard it's not true. I am 14 years old, going to turn 15 in march, and i'm 5'0'. I weigh 93, so i'm not fat, i'm just short. I want to know whether or not to increase the amount of sleep or not. ( I am not calcium deprived either, i drink atleast 2 glasses of milk a day, and i get about 7-8 hours of sleep a night) PLEASE HELP,
