I get leg cramps/spasms/"charlie horses" a lot lately. Sometimes I'll get them in both my legs for a half hour at a time, several nights in a row. I think I'm lacking a vitamin or something. any suggestions?

Eat bananas and take a multivitamin. And the water, like the other people mentioned. That's what we do for my DS, he gets cramps in his calves. Sometimes it wakes him up at night, they hurt so bad. We also use muscle rub.

If you are lacking potassium, then you could try to eat more in your diet.
One of the best ways to help your body to absorb potassium is to soak in apple cider vinegar. This is an old time remedy and works for arthritis too. It is very good for relieving the pain and aches.

My brother in law says he use to get em alot and he use to sit on the floor in pain with his legs straight out in front and he would pull his toes towards him for a while and it would pass. It probobly is due to a lack of vitamins

You could try drinking a glass of Tonic water before you go to bed at night. Tonic water has a small amount of Quinine in it and it helps with cramps.
