I have to stay up all night tonight and work a 9-5 job tommarrow. Usually I go to bed right after work, but then I wake up at 2 in the morning and can't go back to sleep. Then at 2pm while at work I feeling like falling asleep. How do I get back to waking up at 7am healthily?

1. Do something very tiring (ex. cleaning the entire house) for a few hours. You should be able to fall asleep easily if you are exhausted.

2. About five or six hours before your sleeping time, exercise for an hour or so. And then have a full supper.

This worked for me because I have dance class at 5pm. After that I have a good supper and then I can't do anything else but sleep because I get so sleepy when I am full.

Every few nights try to go to bed 10-15 minutes earlier until this is comfortable for you, and you are falling asleep within 15 minutes. After you are comfortable with your fall asleep time do the same with your wake schedule (10-15 min. earlier) until you are waking at the time you want to get up. The gradual adjustments lets you retrain your brain to get what it needs during your sleep cycles, while allowing you adjustment time during your waking hours so you don't feel tired.

drink tons of coffee in the morning so you're not sleepy at 2. and just hold out till about 10 at night, don't sleep when you get home till about that time. go somewhere, meet up with friends, whatever, just stay awake. then you will be so tired by 10 you can get a really good night's sleep, then you get up at 7, and so on! good luck

as hard as it will be, don't go to sleep after work. but go to bed at like 9 or 10 pm. i have a hard time sleeping cuz i'm stressed out of my mind, that might be your case too. when you get back from work just watch tv or read a book-something relaxing.
