Eat more vegetables and drink plenty of water. Raisins and prunes will help get things moving. If you're really backed up, you can drink some prune juice. If you frequently have trouble with constipation, avoid rice, applesauce and cheese, or at least limit the quantities you consume.

You should drink a lot of water. You should also eat a lot of fruits and vegetables. Caunstapation is mainly caused by dehidration and slow movement of deafs in the large intestine. When u drink a lot of water it will reduce dehidratio an the fibres in fruits and vegetables help to fastern digestion.

You should eat more fiber. This means anything green. The fiber is a sugar called cellulose that your body cannot digest. When the substance passes through your bowel it increases the production of mucus and therefore makes things go a lot smoother.

Eat black licorice. As much as you like. Shouldn't take more than 6-12 hours before you get relief. Don't bother with Rx unless absolutely necessary. Add bran or natural whole grains to your daily diet. Your body will thank you for it, for decades to come.

Lots of water, then fruits, brans, etc. But definitely upping your water intake should help a lot. If needed, you could even try using a non-laxative-based stool softener.

"Ruffage" as my grandma would say. Leafy greens, bananas, prunes, most fruits, fiber (Metamucil or bran), etc. Stay away from dairy products (no cheese, milk, yogurt, etc!)!
Good Luck....
