Skylor, my friend, is complaining that he has stomach pains and he has hot-flashes all over his body. He says there is no designated spot in his stomach where it hurts; just all over.
He's 14, if that makes any difference...

Don't give me lip, dangit. These pains just started about 20 minutes ago. It's 1:47 am so we wanted to be sure it was serious before bothering his parents. So don't sit here and give me bull and say, "Why didn't you ask a doctor first?" Because it's almost 2 in the morning, okay!?

Drink some gatorade to get some liquid into you. Also drink warm chicken broth spiced up with jalapeno or some other hot pepper. Green skinned peppers are loaded with vitamin c. By the way, anytime someone gets a "24 hour stomach bug," it was probably food poisoning. I hate to say this, but if all things are normal on the back end, but you are "nauseated" with stomach pains, you could be pregnant. My wife was the same way when she first became pregnant with our first. Go to a doctor. I know you have no insurance, but a doctor visit is not that expensive. Between 50-70 dollars at most. Good luck, I hope this helps.

I think your friend needs to let his parents know what is wrong and go to the doctors. It could be anything and should be seen by a doc. If he is a lot of pain, he should go to the ER right away!!
I could be appendicitis, my husband had pain all over and felt really bad, it turned out to be appendicitis.

Should consult a physician. In the mean time I would drink some green tea (or mixture green tea/black tea) and check if the polyphenols in tea could solve the problem or provide some relief. Anyway it's an inflammation and that should be treated as soon as possible.

Could be food poisoning or a bug going around. Does he have a fever? You can always call the ER of your local hospital and ask them for advice, or go there if things get any worse. It's always better being safe than sorry where it concerns your health.
Take care.

appendix, kidneys, symptoms you need to write the symptoms. If you could go to webmd.com and write the syptoms in it should tell you what is going on. It is hard to diagnose.
It could even be an ulcer in his stomach. Do you have any Tagamet around? it would not hurt him to take that while you look up the symptoms.

You came to the right place. We were worried you would do something rash like advice him to get professional help.
Does he have a test tomorrow. That sounds like a 14 year old symptom to me. Maybe it's an ulcer?
Drink plenty of fluid and watch lots of TV. If it gets bad enough dial 911.

His parents need to take him to the doctor. No one here has the answer to a question like that. Only a professional.

He might have a case of food poisoning...it might be stomach flu...it might be something more serious. Let his guardian know...they may want to check him into the hospital.

Maybe he needs to visit the bathroom with a newspaper and just let nature take its course.
