I am 21 and my eyes have always been bad, but they have gotten more bothersome as I age. I keep hearing about laser eye correction surgery and I have read up on the procedure, but I wanted to get a few opinions and experiences. If you have had this procedure done, when and where did you get it done (ex. doctor's office, lasik, etc)? How much did the procedure cost? What pros and cons do you have about the procedure?

Thanks in advance for all your help.

I mea when I look THROUGH my glasses. my nose looks different, my skin changes, my lips look bigger, everything. Is this normal? Is it because I have really bad eyesight

When I don't have on my glasses, I think I look good. When I put on my glasses I feel as though I look like a different person. And remember I'm not talking about the actual glasses! I'm talking about my face.

Thanks in advance

Okay, It started like 3-4 days ago i've been noticing my left eye is not looking straight. I look straight and my right eye is fine but my left eye looks to the right. Not even towards the front. I told my mom about it and she said try my glasses and see what happens. Does anyone know whats going on or Has anyone heard of this before?

I've been wearing contacts for 9 years and just started having this problem about a year ago. I wake up in the mornings and I have this stringy goo in my eyes. I know that sounds nasty but I have no other way to describe it. Usually by the end of the day I've pulled about 3 stringy goo's from each eye. What makes things slightly worse is that I wear contacts so during the day if a goo appears it tends to stick to my contact. So I have to blink like 50 times to get it to move! lol. The goo is usually under my lower lid and it's sometimes easy to get out. Other times it's just too small to see. But I can tell it's there because it will stick to my contact. I don't sleep in my contacts, I don't have an infection, I'm currently taking Elestat drops for eye allergies. The doc said that may help clear up the goo. Well it hasn't. It's not causing any problems it's just inconvenient and the doctor hasn't been able to give me a good explanation. Has this ever happened to any of yall?

I wear contacts daily from about 6:30 am to 3:30 am. They tend to get dry during the afternoon, around 12:00. I have special drops for contacts and put those in. I was just wondering if there is anything else I can do to keep them moist. I am in school and it just feels weird putting drops in in middle of class. Any suggestion. And I WILL NOT!!!!! wear glasses. so don't tell me that.

I saw a product advertised that claims to repair scratched eye glasses. It appeared to be a swab dipped in liquid. Does anyone know if this is effective?

it's really starting to bug me...i first tried contacts in july...they fitted me with a pair of proclear...they didn't work, they got soooo dry...this weekend i saw the doctor again and he gave me o2optix. they feel awesome...however,my eyes are pretty red...close to bloodshot. i dont know if not sleeping much last night is a factor in this, but they were crystal clear before i put my contacts in...
should i keep wearing them?
to avoid answers of the type 'ask a doctor', as soon as i click post im callin them to ask...but i need the opinion of experienced contact lenses wearers...

I am 20 years old. I've had glasses since i was about 16 or 17. I am seriously looking into Lasik eye surgery because i hate wearing my glasses ( i am near sighted)

Recently it seems as though my eyes have gotten worse. My glasses work fine when i have them on, but i've been noticing that when i dont wear them, its getting harder & harder to see things i once could.

Question is, how old are you supposed to be to get this done? If i get it done now, and say a year or two down the road it starts getting worse again do they do 'free touch ups?'

Also, if anyone knows, how does sitting in front of a computer affect your eyes? I'm a writer, so i spend plenty of time in front of the screen.

Thanks!

i know you have to clean contacts before and after using it but is it ok to just leave your contact lenses in its case for several hours before cleaning it...like say you're outdoors and you pop out your contacts and dont have your cleaning solution with you?
