Is that the definition of hazel?

I need to know if someone has had distorted vision and/or light really hurting your eyes after the surgery. If you have, what is it called and can an eye doctor fix it? I can't work, because I can't see. The eye doctors say they can't find anything in my eyes that are causing it? It seems doctors stick together on these things. Please help. Thank you

I'm 12 and my I have trouble at school with near-sightedness. In order to read anything, I have to squint very hard. My mom has chastised me all my life to take care with my eyes, and even though I might've not been able to prevent it, I don't really have the heart to tell her that I have vision problems. I heard of something called the Bates method. Can anyone help me out?

I've worn hard lenses for a long time. I plan to go back to wearing glasses in the future but am told that my eyeball shape has to return to normal (6 months) before I can get a steady prescription which will allow me to see properly with specs. Would wearing soft lenses in the interim help with this?

Have you gotten your eyes done, or know someone else who did? What did they pay and did they have custom lasik with the laser doing the cut on the eye flap instead of a blade? I just want to make sure I am not getting taken for a ride. Thanks everyone!

Lately my eyesight in my right eye has gone blurry severly. My left eye is pretty much the same but my other eye is a lot worse. Can contacts help blurry vision? I do not want glasses and contacts seem to be my only option.

I was just fit with Synergeyes contact lenses on Saturday and will be getting them sometime next week. They have an RGP (for better optics) and a soft "skirt" (for better comfort).

I'm really excited about them, but I'm kind of confused about RGP vs. soft in terms of eye health. I asked tons of questions at the dr.'s, but forgot about the oxygen permeability factor.

Enlightenment would be appreciated. Thanks :)

It was because my eyes always seem to be red. My eyes turned out to be be near perfect. I was wondering how long it would take for the redness to disappear if i stopped watching so much tv. I watch like like 8 hours of computer and tv per day and the optician thinks the biggest part of the problem is watching too much tv. And i was also wondering if i drank plenty of water if it would help to clear it up quicker?

All answers greatly appreciated.

I'm going to school to become a commercial pilot. Obviously my career depends on being able to see 20/20 with or without correction (I'm 20/200 without contacts, slight astigmatism). I'm 30 years now but have considered eye surgery my entire life. (even RK back in the day). Obviously technology has improved by leaps and bounds. When LASIK rolled out I thought how could it get better than this? My best friend is a MD and he told me to hold off for a few years (this was 4-5 years ago) and now we have custom wavefront LASIK. I have had friends who've had both done with excellent results. Now with wavefront LASIK advancements, what else is on the horizon??? Are some stellar new techniques currently being developed that will roll out in the next 4-5 years?

My eye doctor is suggesting PRK. Night vision problems could also end my career. I've heard there is less chance of reduced night vision (halos /startbursts) with PRK. The NAVY only allows PRK surgery for their pilots.

So I have to get glasses to see far away things like the chalkboard and such, but everything else is good. However I am worried that once I get glasses, my eyes will get worse and I'll always need the glasses not only when I need to copy something down but soon everything else. I'm also worried then I'll have to keep getting stronger prescriptions, and my eyes will be so screwed up and in ten years my glasses that I don't have yet will be really strong and my eyesight will be like 60/80. Is getting glasses going to make my eyes even worse over time?
Is there as big a risk with a weaker prescription, or it's all the same once you get glasses?

Whoever or whatever gave you the idea that computer does not damage eyesight, THEY'RE WRONG! i was born with 20/20 vision and the computer has ruined my perfect vision! growing up, people tease me about wearing glasses so i only wear them in class. now, to prevent any more eye damage, i avoid using the computer unless i have to. so how can i adjust my computer screen lightings to decrease eye damage to the minimum?

I heard a radio ad about a month ago, and of course I thought I would remember the 800 #. The product sounded perfect for my 96 yr. old mother in law, who is "all there", but with severely failing eyesight.
The concept was that you could put a page on an illuminated, magnifying reader, rather than view through the magnifier . I have scoured the Internet, Googled my heart out. Anybody know what I'm talking about?
