I've worn glasses for years and I'm sick of them. I've wanted contacts for ages but I've gone in twice to get them and each time came out empty handed and rather green. When they try to put them in my eyes I full out freak and feel like I'm going to faint- its like my entire being is rejecting the idea of having anything near my eyes. For the same reason I dont think I could handle laser surgery. (Could so meone describe that process, though? I dont know much about it) I don't know what to do or how to overcome my fear... help?

I think ive got a chemical imbalance in my brain. ive got thoughts of suicide and mad anxeiety. but the thing is, ive got this vision problem going on too, and i dont know if it's related ot not.

I seem to see things that are white or bright colours with like... a floaty doubble vision kinda thing sometimes. and my eyes see in totally different ways, one in warm colours, one in cool colours. If anyone knows, please help me out here.

I want a simple small answer, don't give me a website or a big long explanation about it, just a number or if not that a simple answer. How old do you have to be to get laser eye surgery?

this is because I can't wear contact lenses due to an eye irritation, and i don't have a pair of glasses, nor do any of my family members. my eyesight is poor, about 3.00, and i have to go to school on monday, but i won't be able to see. is there a way i can get a pair of glasses before monday? thanks

from what my mom tells me, if i want to get glasses, i'll have to order them and it'll take weeks.

Before I ever had seizure I was already wearing glasses but the prescription weren't bad and I didn't need to wear them 24-7. Just when I needed to see something that was at a far distance. But in 2002 I had my first Seizure and put on Anti-Convulsants. I've had a few seizures after the first one but I was having trouble with my vision so I went to get my eyes examined and was given glasses of a stronger prescription. That was about 3-4 yrs ago but just a FEW days ago I got new glasses cuz my old frames were worn out. I again got another exam and found my eyes were worse. I'm not doing anything that might make your vision go bad. But I'm wearing glasses as thick as a Bullet-Proof glass window and I wanna know if possibly Seizure could be the cause. I occasionally still have seizures but I'm conscious and no trembling of the body. Just like few second phases which neurologist says might be caused by stress not by the medication not working. Whats your opinion guys ??

I just tried putting contact lenses in today, got them both in in around 25 minutes. But my eyes feel red/irritated, like i've been staring at the computer screen all day. Is this normal, and when should it stop/get used to it?

I ate a habanero pepper last night and when I took my contacts out, my eyes began to burn really badly. It stopped and they don't burn this morning, but after washing my hands and even taking a shower, I still can't get the contacts in without my eyes burning INSANELY and them turning really red. Anybody help?

My eye is watering like crazy. It almost looks as if I am crying but I am not. Why is it doing this. It is only my left eye doing this.

My eye sight is fine. It could be alittle better, but it is basically good. I really would like to correct the look of my eyes. However because its not a vision problem insurance want cover it. I have seen in other questions that some people get therapy, but i want to know what are the exercises. I have had it since birth, can't afford surgery.

Well, actually, of course it is possible, for i exist! But the only two people i'm aware of in my family that have blue eyes are my auntie (on my mum's side) and my uncle (on my father's side) - so how many generations have my blue eyes skipped? Surely its rare for me to have blue eyes from that?

The best fitting contact lenses i've tried were 8.5 basecurve and 14.5 diameter. Ones with an 8.6 basecurve and the same diameter seemed to slip around.. Now i'm meant to be trialing ones with an 8.7 basecurve, and a 14mm diameter. So, as the 8.6's were such a bad fit, should i expect these to be even worse, or will the smaller diameter size mean they are a better fit? (My optician says shes not worried about the sizes so much.. but i want to get an idea of how they might fit my eyes)

My friend and I started using glasses at the same age. Her vision was corrected and she no longer uses glasses. I still need glasses and I become more dependent on them every time I wear them.

Has anyone longsighted tried this? I know it would be hard to see through the minus lens at the start but I'd say the eyes would adjust and the + prescription would reduce? Thanks.

When I view the night sky through my glasses, (not using a telescope) stars lose their sharpness. Do I need a stronger prescription for night time viewing for when my eyes are fully dilated? My corrected daytime vision is great, so any advise? Thanks!

I recently purchased a new pair of glasses which have slightly larger lenses than my old ones (the old one's were smaller because I wanted a pair of glasses that would minimize the thickness of my prescription). The new glasses are great but I find that they tend to smudge a LOT more than usual and I find that I have to wash my glasses at least 3-5 times a day now to ensure that they aren't smudged or dirty. I was wondering if there was any way to make glasses smudgeproof, or at least, less likely to be smudged (and yes I try hard not to touch anywhere near the lense anymore).

Any thoughts on this would be most appreciated. :)

I recently bought it to hopefully eliminate my red eyes since i don't want to use eye drops anymore because it made my eyes more red and veiny after prolonged use. bilberry and eyebright are said to work wonders. If you are taking the same, is it really effective? how long after it showed results? i really really want to reduce if not eliminate the red appearance in my eyes
