I recently purchased a new pair of glasses which have slightly larger lenses than my old ones (the old one's were smaller because I wanted a pair of glasses that would minimize the thickness of my prescription). The new glasses are great but I find that they tend to smudge a LOT more than usual and I find that I have to wash my glasses at least 3-5 times a day now to ensure that they aren't smudged or dirty. I was wondering if there was any way to make glasses smudgeproof, or at least, less likely to be smudged (and yes I try hard not to touch anywhere near the lense anymore).

Any thoughts on this would be most appreciated. :)

First I am wondering what is making them smudge more. If you have a new AR coating and never had one before I can tell you that lenses without AR smudge just as much, but you do not see it as much. Lensews with AR coating use more of the available light so you actually see through the lesnses better and smudges seam more apparant. I noticed this on my first pair of AR coated lenses. I clean my lenses once a day with Dawn dish detergent and warm water. Dawn or Joy work great if you use just a little dab! I rinse them off and wipe them with a soft cotton cloth or tea towel. Then for the rest of the day I use the spray and cleaning cloth that the doctor gave me. (Well, that I gave me, I work for the Eye Doctor!) If this does not help, you might want to call the optician and see what they can tell you that might help! Good luck! O^O

Once clean, glasses shouldn't get smudged unless something is touching them. Try not to handle your glasses; if they keep sliding down your nose get the frames adjusted, also some people's cheeks touch the lenses and get oil on them. If the smudges are on the inside surface of your lenses, maybe your eyelashes are touching the lenses and grubbing them up. I used to have a pair of glasses where that would happen. Note: I'm a guy, so I don't wear mascera, and I would still get smudges of "eyelash stuff" on the lenses.
