I recently bought it to hopefully eliminate my red eyes since i don't want to use eye drops anymore because it made my eyes more red and veiny after prolonged use. bilberry and eyebright are said to work wonders. If you are taking the same, is it really effective? how long after it showed results? i really really want to reduce if not eliminate the red appearance in my eyes

Who knows. Use it and find out. The biggest thing is to keep yourself healthy and some veins are normal. It is easy to be self conscious about it but the best way I have ever heard of is to sleep well, eat well, exercise well and wear good sun protection, the best sun glasses you can afford so that you have healthy eyes. Get and eye exam once a year and if your body is made so that you have veins naturally just do not fuss with it and go on with your life. Most people do not go around chekcing out people's eye veins!

No. Herbal remedies are largely untested for either effectiveness or safety. Ginkgo has been associated with bleeding in the eyes.

You need to find out why your eyes are red. Are you a smoker or live with one? Is air pollution bad? Are you spending a lot of time outdoors and not wearing sunglasses? Do you have allergies? Do you have dry eye?

See your eye doctor to find out why your eyes are red and what therapy to try.
