Each of my eyes are past 20/400. Would corrective surgery help get it to around 20/30 or better? I have astigmatism in my left eye.

I am in college working towards a microbio degree but I also really want to join the state police VERY much! Should I chance it? How much would a severe case like this cost?

didnt really work out because the contacts were too big for my eyes because im asian and i have small eyes(dont joke about that lol) he says i have really strong astigmatism can anyone right now show me where i can get color contact lens and what brand without the next prescrition just knowing my astigmatism is a little stronger then the last one.

Well I just noticed that even though my friend and I both have similar eye colors, her eyes turn to a light brown color while in the sun while mine remain brown. What's causing this? Are my eyes turning blacker? Is it even possible to have full black eyes? I appreciate your answers!

Today a hot chick who sat across from me on the city bus took out her phone ( katana ) and faced away from me. The light from the sun reflected of her phone and it was beamed at my eye I couldn't look away cuz she was too damn hot, untill she got off. Till then my eye feels very strange an funny. I wanted to know if it is permanent eye damage or something that would just go away. NEED HELP

Last weekend, I climbed Mt. Langley (just over 14,000 in the Sierra Range). When I got to the top, I could see sparkly colors in the very left part of my left eye. It was almost like a halucination and very pretty. Someone mentioned that it could be a retinal hemorrhage. What does that mean? Is it something I should get looked at? I don't notice any problems with my vision now...5 days later...

Well, anyway i have noticed i have many 'odd cool' tallent's like i can move my ears, nose,scalp, and i can suck air threw my tear ducts. Anyway i want to know is there anyone els that can do this?? Because on Ripleys Believe it or Not there was a guy who can blow out of it and suck threw his ducts, and i had a friend who could do it to. i want to know how i could further develope this buy shooting water out of my duct, or blow out of it (i can only breath threw it rt now :-\) help :-)

I have got a fibre-glass spectacles, and I accidently got a ball pen mark over it (a small one, but bothersome nevertheless). It didn't go away when i washed it with copious amounts of water and soap. Can you please tell me some effective home remedy??

Does he/she diagnose their condition/s themselves? Can they perform the same eye tests they use for their patients on themselves? Or do they go to another optometrist, perhaps a fellow eye doctor friend, and get their prescription for glasses/contacts there?

Just curious to know, I've seen a few optometrists wearing glasses themselves. :)

Right away, my hearing dropped dramatically, and I had ringing in both ears (especially the right one). After about 2-3 hours everything got much better. But this morning I noticed that my hearing is not the same as it was. I hear voices and louder sounds clearly, but hear the clicking of my computer mouse somewhat muffled. And I feel as if there is cotton in my ears. Is this a sign that permanent hearing loss has occured? I know I am in the wrong category, but I am not getting good answer anywhere else, so I thought that "optical" could loosely be related to hearing.

There's a job position requires the passing of the Vision Test set at 7/4, I really do not know what it means. If someone's vision is about -7.0, will that be impossible for that job??

Aparently there are ways to bring your eyes back to 20/20 without surgury, I looked this information on the internet, came accross "The program for better vision" it suggests you can give your eyes workouts to make tham stronger. I found it on the internet because it was never shown on TV.
Personally I believe that, it just seems like treatments are more proffetable then cures, anyway the website is below.
