Before I ever had seizure I was already wearing glasses but the prescription weren't bad and I didn't need to wear them 24-7. Just when I needed to see something that was at a far distance. But in 2002 I had my first Seizure and put on Anti-Convulsants. I've had a few seizures after the first one but I was having trouble with my vision so I went to get my eyes examined and was given glasses of a stronger prescription. That was about 3-4 yrs ago but just a FEW days ago I got new glasses cuz my old frames were worn out. I again got another exam and found my eyes were worse. I'm not doing anything that might make your vision go bad. But I'm wearing glasses as thick as a Bullet-Proof glass window and I wanna know if possibly Seizure could be the cause. I occasionally still have seizures but I'm conscious and no trembling of the body. Just like few second phases which neurologist says might be caused by stress not by the medication not working. Whats your opinion guys ??

The underlying disorder that is causing the seizures could affect your vision if the brain or optic nerve suffer damage. This would be an effect that would cause reduced vision even with glasses.

Seizures will not affect your glasses prescription. It is normal for your glasses prescription, especially if for myopia, to increase between the ages of 10 and 25 and occasionally thoughout life.

Seizures has a possibility to ruin your vision.
"A seizure is a temporary abnormal electro-physiologic phenomena of the brain, resulting in abnormal synchronization of electrical neuronal activity. It can manifest as an alteration in mental state, tonic or clonic movements, convulsions, and various other psychic symptoms (such as déjà vu or jamais vu). It is caused by a temporary abnormal electrical activity of a group of brain cells. The medical syndrome of recurrent, unprovoked seizures is termed epilepsy, but some seizures may occur in people who do not have epilepsy."

I have seizures too. Obv they can make u a bit out of it at first but thats not what ur asking.

the actual process of a seizure can make u damage ur vision technically. but its more to do with:
a seizure that is especially violent and damages that part of ur brain permanently due to the electrical activity (unlikely).
a bad fall that bashes your head and damages ur brain.

I really doubt they would cause a gradual downturn in your vision but it would be more of a dramatic event. especially as ur seizures are mild.

First of all, nothing to fear its normal, and nothing to fear. It is called astral travel and or out of body experience. It is something that is actually becoming more popular. It is when a persons soul/energy body leaves there physical one. Please do research for better understanding and understand what is actually happening to you. You are not having seizures, and yes sleep paralysis is the beginning of it. Sleep paralysis is when your body goes to sleep but mind still awake, the first step of astral travel. Astral travel can be a amazing and useful tool, if used properly. Next time this is happening to you, just simply think of your physical body and you should go back to it. There are many great videos on youtube about it, check them out. Brandon Gilbert has some great videos on it. Good luck :)
