It's a fairly strong rx, but it's not that extreme. Lots of people have prescriptions that are around that strength. Mine is a few steps weaker than yours, and I can barely see without my contacts or glasses!

Just worse than mine, currently. I didn't even go to the eye doctor until my vision was 1.75 and 2.25 when I was 13, 15 years ago. Now I'm 2.50 and 2.75. It's not really the numbers, it's their consistency. If they stay steady for a few years time, you can get laser eye surgery.

No its not bad at all. Its about norm. But who cares? No one is going to know but you and the doctor.
Your glasses are not thick at that point, thats about what my prescription is.

You are in the low to mid range. Not real bad. Very normal.

I think my left eye is -8.50.. Yeah, so, you're not too bad! lol.
