Lately my eyesight in my right eye has gone blurry severly. My left eye is pretty much the same but my other eye is a lot worse. Can contacts help blurry vision? I do not want glasses and contacts seem to be my only option.

If the blurry vision is due to refractive error, then contact can help.

You need to see an eye doctor to find out why the eye is blurry. The doctor can also assess whether contacts are an option for you.

The first thing you should do is go to the eye doctor and find out why your vision got blurry recently. It could be a cataract or something. Once that's ruled out and the doctor finds it's just your vision, you will be checked to see if you can wear a contact lens. Not all people can.

Yes, that's generally what they are prescribed for.

However, most doctors will also insist that you have glasses because you cannot ALWAYS wear contact lenses.

I suggest making an appointment with an optometrist for a full eye exam to find out the cause of the problem.

Definitely go to the eye doctor first to find out why it's blurred. Don't just cover up the problem with contact lenses or any other method without finding out if you have something serious like: glaucoma, Diabetes, or liver damage.
