I heard a radio ad about a month ago, and of course I thought I would remember the 800 #. The product sounded perfect for my 96 yr. old mother in law, who is "all there", but with severely failing eyesight.
The concept was that you could put a page on an illuminated, magnifying reader, rather than view through the magnifier . I have scoured the Internet, Googled my heart out. Anybody know what I'm talking about?

Be wary of advertised gizmos, you could be wasting your money. Whether it will work for her or not will depend on how bad her eyesight is and what is causing the loss.

If her vision is really bad she should ask her eye doctor for referral to a Low Vision clinic where she can be assessed for the best visual aids for her particular condition.

Closed Circuit Television viewer may be what you heard about. They are expensive and she should try one out at a Low Vision Centre to make sure it helps.

There are many companies that do this for people with LOW VISION. So, google LOW VISION or LOW VISION AIDS and see what you find. They have all sorts of things if you look under this on the net. O^O
