No, it doesn't repair the glasses. The liquid fills in the scratches temporarily so that they are not visible. After about 15 minutes, it's gone. Some of these leave sticky gookum that's hard to get off.

I found the kit in an old man's house and tried it. I carefully followed the directions, in two steps; first using the cleanser properly. This part worked fine. For the second step it says to swab the solution on to the lenses, but it has dried up and become gooey and sticky. I used some solvents to thin it and spread it out, but essentially it did nothing. Six other reviews unanimously said this kit does nothing. I would try some car polish from the hardware store before believing in this old gimmick.

It depends on how deeply your lenses are scratched & what coatings you may have on your lenses. If you have an antireflective coating on your lenses don't even try it it will mess them up even more. If you have very light scratches try the pledge & soft cloth on Plastic lenses only! Not Polycarb lenses. I had a patient who tried that stuff & it worked great for about 4 days then she went from airconditioned room to really hot out doors & it made her lenses look like a crystal maze & she couldn't get it off.

I've also seen stuff like that advertised. I suggest you do what I did, and that is search the internet for the product. You'll more than likely find all sorts of information on it, including product reviews by people who used the stuff.
I made a decision based on that, and you'll probably make the same one. Ripoff. Save your money.

I really can't say, but I'll tell you a secret and lasts just as long as those expensive specialized "cures". Hold your glasses out in front of you and spray a mist of Pledge up in the air so in falls lightly on your glasses and then polish with a soft clean cloth.. Brightens up the frames also. Here's lookin' at you, kid!

I picked up Clean Lens Mending Kit at CVS for $4.99 and used it on my scratched glasses and it worked fine. It does not change your prescription.

Yes, if the scratch is really light and you have LOTS of elbow grease.
