What is it like to be color blind? What do you see instead of colors?

Very few people are totally colour blind, ie only see black and white. Most see colours but fewer so they see hundreds of different colours instead of thousands. Some colours that colour normals see as different will look the same to those with a colour defect. For example, dark red will look like grey.

color blindness is not seeing in only black and white....people who are color blind cant tell the difference between certain colors. my dad cant tell the difference between greens/browns/purples for example
