I have! That was stupid! I was puking for like half and hour!

Lately, almost daily headaches. I had quadruple vision and felt like I was passing out. This only happened once about a month ago, for about 15-20 seconds. Doctors have never been able to visualize the disc's in the back of my eyes (since I was about 15) and diagnosed me with cluster headaches. My vision is very good (on last check, 2 yrs ago), 20/20 and 20/15. I am 39 years old. I take effexor, and my doc says it wouldn't be related to that. What could it be? Should I see an opthamologist?

I was not on it lat long last night and I noticed that my eyes felt better hehehe and not blury on at my computer at work :))) And I always wear my glasses on the computer :))

This is because my eyesight is perfect when up close but goes blurry from a distance, when i am driving i cannot red road signs properly until i get right up to them, does this mean i am short sighted and will i have to wear glasses?? I am a bit gutted because i have always had perfect eye sight and i have been working on computers for the last 8 months is this why they have gone like this?

Hi, I got glasses a week ago and the eye doctor said my right eye was -1.75 and my left eye was -2.25. I forgot to ask him what these numbers were and how bad my eyes are. He just told me that I needed glasses from long time ago. Can anybody tell me if my eyes are bad? I know I'm near sighted but that's all I know... Thanks.

To become a pilot here in canada you are allowed to wear glasses, but they said the applicant has to possesses a visual acuity without correction in each eye separately, not less than 6/60 (20/200) and the refractive error falls within the range of ± 3.0 diopters (equivalent spherical error);
what does this mean? i know that with glasses my prescription is about -3.25 how can i find out what is it in terms of 20/ ?

While my mind wandered during cross country practice I began to contemplate this. It seems that tears are just salt water, but they are produced by a gland, are they not? So it seems that they should contain DNA. Does anybody know the answer to this?

I was quoted $999 from someone with a pretty good deal of experience but have seen prices to $5000 for a friend of mine. And in a related topic, is the all laser version better, worse or roughly the same as having the eye incision made by blade?

I am thinking about having Lasiks done. Are there any risks and is it a good thing to do? Has anyone ever done it? I have been wearing glasses/contacts since I was about 7. I found a place near my hometown that does Lasiks and I'm just concerned about the pros and cons.

Is there any way to get my eyes whiter quick. I'm going out tonight and my eyes are kinda red. I don't have any eye drops. I heard that putting ice or an ice pack on your closed eyes helps, is that true? Any help at all would be greatly appreciated!!!

Spent 6 hours at the hospital. My eye flipped out on me for over an hour, twice.
To describe what happened you need to picture this:
I had a line start to wave in the upper eye. Like looking under water. Then it also went diagonal and because like looking though a prism. With all the rainbow of colours. I lost prepfial (sp) vision on the right side. It was like looking in a triangle with blinders.
Sharp pain lasted for a few hours after that.
Today it is all pain. Not going away

The doc at emerg says they is no tear and it doesn't sound like ON ( Optic neurtsis) and the nerve looked okay. He called an ophthalmologist and asked it was ON. Never heard of the symptoms I talked about .
I am really afraid now of losing my vision … this is the third different symptom that no doctors can explain.

What does it mean when you have red in the white of your eye....broken blood vessel??? or not? If so, why? I have had it when I was younger, this morning I woke up with just one spot in my eye. Thanks.

i have lazy eys and i am like 17 years old... and it sometimes wanders when i am looking at thngs for a lont time,but i can pull them straight back..i dont like to wear glasses thoe but not wearing them i feel uncomfortable my eye waters or get red.
is there anything i can do to strenghten my eyes? Does it sound severe
my doctor said it wasnt sever she said if it does get severe she ill put prisim in my eyes wtf?

I'm aware of the obvious dangers, so here's my question:
In a tanning booth, if I shut my eyes, I see green, just like having my eyes open with "winkies."
If I shut my eyes forcefully, as hard as I can, for 10 minutes, I see black. Can I get away with that, or is there no way out of wearing the eye protection?

Ok im a cantact lens wearer and i just recieved a pair of glasses today just because i want to give my eyes a break every once in a while so i wear my glasses and the are making me dizzy like they are a liitle bit too strong. it does give me a slight headache. so my question is like i dont mind the headache but if i keep wearing these bad glasses, will it make my vision back causing me to have to change prescriptions on my contacts, if so ill just never wear the glasses please help

My optician told me I could overcome my far sightedness by not wearing my glasses.

This sounds like maddness as I cannot read a LCD screen or book or menu for more than 20 seconds without them on.

Is he mental or can I correct my eyes?

I had a corneal ulcer in my eye last year-- and occasionally my eyes are still red. I put the drops in. They taste nasty! After I put my drops in, within a few mins I can taste them in the back of my throat. (Almost like a postnasal drip) only from my eyes.


*Can this really be happening? Are your eyes connected to your mouth just like your nose is? My friends don't believe me that I can taste them because they claim that the eyes are not connected to the mouth.

I currently have acuvue 2 contacts. I was wondering if my prescription is the same for acuvue 2 colors or do i need a different fitting. One place told me I needed to call the doctor for a fitting and when I called they said the should be the same prescription. anyone know?
