It is not that unusual for one eye to be more nearsighted than the other. Go ahead and get an eye test/glasses as necessary. While you're there, they generally do some tests to check for other eye conditions and can refer you to a specialist if required.

I have the same problem except in reverse; it's an inherited eye disorder in my case. My right eye is fine, as far as doing the eye test but when I cover my right eye to read with my left, if I didn't know that the first letter is E, I wouldn't know! So, going to the doc is not a bad idea at all; they're going to tell you that you need glasses or contacts (and, yes, I am able to wear contacts to correct my vision) and let you know exactly what is wrong with your eyes.

you are probably blind in one eye! i am 20-400 in my left eye and 15-20 in my right eye.

by the time the doctors found out it was too late to correct unless i got laser surgery.

go to the doctor and get it checked, depending on your age they can most likely correct it without using surgery!
