Although I need to wait a bit longer for my steady 4 year prescription, I was wondering if the risks were worth it. Apparantly it is about 98% success rate.

Sometimes I get these white spots, sort of like sparks, flowing from the sides toward the center of my field of vision. What does it mean? Is it significant? It usually goes away in a couple of minutes.

I found out the other night that an eye problem I had for awhile was called ocular gyro crisis. Where my eyes roll to the back of my head . They took me off fluphenazine and gave contigen. I am still on Abilify which I hear can cause it too. I am trying to find more info about it but I cannot seem to find anything on it. Please can someone get more info for me. Thanks.

My eyesight is quite terrible. I am -9.5 for both eyes and I'm only 18! I remember my eye doctors telling me that I'm legally blind, what exactly does being legally blind mean?

I have a prescription for two types of eyeglasses/frames. One is for a standard reading pair, the other is a very expensive progressive coated lens. To purchase these two pairs of glasses, including frames would be just under $1000. That is way to expensive, so I would like to find out if anyone knows where to get prescription glasses online or anywhere for reduced rates. I have the written prescriptions. thanks for any help

ok the pressure on my eye is 27mmHg and i take alot of medicines to control it
ok but the thing is that my eye is totally atypical as my doctor says the normal thickness of the cornea is 520mm while mine is 726mm so my eye can support higher pressure because of that and that the 27mmHg may mean 22 or lower
do you know anythign about it? can you say what would be a normal pressure to an eye in my condiction? also do you know anythin g i can do besides medicine and surgery to low the pressure? anything i can eat , drink ..
i also would like to know if stress make it higher

thanks very much

hey in my bio class today i had to rinse a beaker out. it had some water &iodine in it (but it was sitting for a day, so it was diluted i guess? right?) then had some glucose in it.. anyway, as i was cleaning it out i poured all the stuf out down the drain but a second later some water splashed up into my eye.

do you think it still had some iodine/glucose in it? i think it all went down the drain by then...
and could getting either of those in your eyes ruin your vision or anything? my eye hurt a little after wards..

I was just reading a website that explains how nearsightedness really develops and how to properly prevent and even cure it. It is full of detailed pictures that explain the cause of it and how minus lenses (glasses for distance) make nearsightedness much worse very quickly

the website says that many eye doctors are not taught the truth in school and many don't know about it themselves.

my prescription is -1.75, I was curious on people's opinion on this and whether I should look into trying to cure my nearsightedness.

They appear to have many success rates although most of them are for low myopia, up to 3 diopters.

I appreciate your honest opinions please!

The website is

Has anyone had a scratched or torn cornea that was accompanied by blurred vision (more like you're looking through a cloudy film)?

I do have an eye doctor appointment tomorrow, but thought I'd ask around here.

I wear contact lenses and I have had problems with dry eye in the past. My former doctor (I moved out of state) prescribed Proclear lenses because they are supposed to be the best with letting air into the eye.

Anyway, about three weeks ago I was having a problem with my left eye and couldn't wear my contacts. Eye was a little pink, hurt and sensitive to light. It did get better. But, earlier this week, it started again, though less intense. My eye isn't pink, but super sensitive to light and my vision is blurrier than usual :), like what I described above.

Has anyone had this or know if this is a corneal abrasion?

Thanks for any help!

I didnt do very well when given the pinhole test during the eye chart test. A few months back I woke with swollen wattery eyes and I did shampoo scrubs to fix it.
Is there something wrong with retina when you dont do well on pinhole test? Anything I can do to help my vision get more light to my retina?

Hi, for a few years now I ahve beeen getting "migraines" every few months. I ahd 1 earlier today, and I don't think its a migrane no matter what the quack of a doctor hsas. THe symptons are as followed

:Blurred vision
:Followed by a bad ehadache
:Followed by a sore head ( unable to shack or move fast etc.)

But lately I ahve gotten 1 and it went away with a minor headache. I currently have 1 ( I ahd 1 earlier in SChool. I am vaugely making out the keys on the keyboard)

I need to know what this is and if tehres anything I can take for the Vision Defects and the ehadache.

PS: I was also told a nurse works with someone that gets this (that has glasses like me) and hes said to be going blind. Can this be happening to me even if I am only 14??

Ok so I know there are a few of you out there that think this is a stupid question but it is not. There are Contact web sites that are selling hand painted contacts and if they can hand paint them I can too.
I want to know how this is done!

http://www.coastalcontacts.com/en_us/cHalloweenLenses-p1.html?CMP=BAC-MSOct_300x250Flame

Our hand painted special effects lenses are made with care, to give you the most unique eyes at the party this year. Because they are painted one at a time by hand, they can take 1 week for delivery. Follow the wear and care instructions included in your shipment.

Does anyone have any tips

Whenever I try to read, I feel movement. It's hard to describe what I'm feeling in my eyes; it just feels like the text is moving. This problem has caused much distress: I can't read much anymore--even if it's something important I need to read, such as a book for school. I used to love reading for fun, but now I can no longer do that.

Can someone please tell me what's wrong with my eyes?
