i suffer from myopia and i still havent gotten my glasses...and i cant help but squint when i cant see from far away, especially when i have to read signs from far away.....its a bit embarassing (one time a girl thought i was glaring at her but i was looking over her to read the board LOL) but squinting helps me see better. i want to stop doing it though while im waiting for my glasses (it wont be so easy)...but i need my question answered....does squinting cause premature wrinkles around the eyes???

Is it a serious disease? Why most online search says that it occurs mostly in males?
Shall I just ignore coz it will heal by itself?
I'm a female, 25 years old, no other conditions but had been diagnose having Central Serous Retinipathy for unknown cause Scheduled for fluorescein angiography tomorrow and later on for laser treatment.
Please let me know any infos. Thanks!

When I look around I see these strange dots and lines floating around and they move when I move my eyes. What are they? Is it dangerous or normal?

I have astigmatism and I hardly wear my glasses because my prescription is very mild but whenever I relax my eyes I get double vision as if I were physically crossing my eyes, but I am not. Also when I am having a converstion with someone and I am looking at them I feel like my eyes cross and then I have to look away and then come back to the person to regain my focus but then seconds later it happens again. Has anyone had this problem? Could not wearing my glasses eventhough the prescriptionis low be the cause of it?

i really want these

http://www.framesdirect.com/framesfp/Dolce_Gabbana-tcsekc/r.html

and i saw them at lens crafters for almost 350 bucks

is it good to buy them online?

should i just buy the frame and have my prescription done at lenscrafters?

or does it basically just come out the same price if i buy them at lenscrafters with all their offers and stuff?

I know there are different types of Cataract's, Glaucoma, and surgeries for the two, but I'd just like to know (in general) if eyes remain reactive to light and accommodation after surgeries to correct this OR if it's on a person to person basis... o.0

Thanks. =)

I had strabismus surgery around age 5 for a slight outward eye turn. The prodedure made my eyes worse. Now my eye turns inward. It alternates between both my eyes. I can choose which eye I want to use and the opposite eye turns in. When I'm tired or stressed out, the eye turn gets worse. My question is if it's worth getting the surgery again? How will the doctor know how much muscle to cut because there is always a fluctuation in how severe my eye is turning in? I'm 23 now, has there been dramatic improvements to strabismus surgery in the last 17 years? I'm just very skeptical on getting it done because one surgery has already made it worse. Thanks for your advice.

!!!Urgent -- Help!!!
My son had ORTHOKERATOLOGY night only Contact LENS (made by C&E GP Specialist) from Jan. 2001 to June 2007. He discontinued such ORTHOK lens on June 13, 2007 and suffers from the double vision (Monocular diplopia) especially the right eye. He has visited three doctors since June 16, 2007. and they told the reporter that after discontinued ORTHK lens, the status of his eye will be reverse in 1-2 weeks or several months. But after four full month of discontinued ORTHK lens, his double vision (Monocular diplopia) especially the right eye is progressive.
One post on FDA web site is similar to our case. That post link is http://www.accessdata.fda.gov/scripts/cdrh/cfdocs/cfMAUDE/Detail.CFM?MDRFOI__ID=274073. My son and parents worry about it very much and also he is suffering. I am trying to find the explanation/solution to this Monocular diplopia.
Thanks a lot.

I am a protanope, so I see red as very dark (probably like you see brown), and I can only tell red, orange, and yellow apart due to the brightness of them, not the hue.

Apart from annoying things like having to assume a stoplight is red because I dont see it lit up (and yea I stop at mostly every stoplight that is out) and not knowing if the light is green or yellow...

I really wanna know why I can't see a red laser pointer on a white board. Its not that I don't see red, cause I Definitely do..
Please tell me why laser pointers completely invisible to me??

Being colorblind has never bothered me.. until now, when I can't see a professor pointing to diagram and explaining what he/she is pointing at...

I've been wearing glasses for around 7-8 months. The doctor said I should wear them only when I can't see... Like the white-board in school. And I did that...

Recently I started to get really worried about my vision. My glasses are -1 diopter (I can't see far) And I'm worried they could increase... So today is the second day I wear them all the time. All day at home. Even in front of the computer. They have antireflex... Not sure in english but it's for when you work on the computer.

Is that good? Will it help me increase my vision? What should I do? I'm scared cause I use the computer 4-5 hours a day. Is it too much? Should I wear the glasses while using it? Should I take any meds? CAN MY VISION INCREASE OR CAN IT ONLY GET WORSE? Is laser eye surgery dangerous? How much is it worth!

Thanks a lot! God bless you.

If you can only see a fog of indistinguishable features, what would the scale of your vision be? 20/2000, 20/5000? Worse than 'legally blind'.

Just wondering.
I have good vision, I can see pretty well.
But these headaches keep popping up everyday, ya know, sometimes migraines during the week.
I'm going to an eye doctor when my new insurance clears.
Is there a chance I'd need glasses?

Basically I want to know if there are attachments that can protect you from the sides almost like safety glasses.
