Astigmatism, will it matter?

I've just been told i have Astigmatism by an eye doctor, i dont like glasses that much and im wondering do i have to wear glasses all the time? i can see fine just a tiny bit blurry distance wise

The glasses will clear your vision in the distance. With an astigmatism, you need to wear your glasses as much as possible or all the time to allow your brain time to adjust to the new prescription. The longer you stay out of them, the more you get used to seeing blurry. You would then have to go back through the adaptation process again.

So, astigmatism isn't anything that's going to hurt you, and most people have a slight astigmatism. You were born with it, most likely. Glasses full-time will give you clearer vision.

I Have An Astigmatism In My Right Eye, And Still I Wear Contacts. Glasses Occasionally. An Astigmatism Only Means You Can't See As Clear Out Of That Eye. Glasses Would Be Good, Yes. But Only If They're Comfortable To You.

If you're an adult, and inside the minimum driving standard,
"have to" doesn't come into it.

Whatever suits you, makes you feel happier or more comfortable. is right.
With astigmatism, the degree of blur and associated fatigue can be unnoticed and then surprising.
It might be worth wearing them for different tasks, including reading and computer work, to see if you feel better with the glasses on.
That's the real criterion. No "Have to."
