Are there any attachments to glasses that can make them a little more effective as safety glasses?

Basically I want to know if there are attachments that can protect you from the sides almost like safety glasses.

Yes there are temporary, removable sideshields that can be ordered through most optical stores, if they don't have them in stock.

But that in NO way makes your glasses...safety glasses.

I've seen little flaps that slide over the stems that afford some protection to the sides and I believe they're OSHA approved.
