Restasis is available in Canada by special order through Health Canada. Your doctor can fill out the forms for this.

I used Restasis for a while and found that it didn't help much (and was very expensive here in the US). I started using eye wipes (I actually began using unscented baby wipes as eye wipes because they are A LOT cheaper and easier to find) and for a while I was using an OTC artificial tears product that came in gel form in a tube. I can't remember the name of the product. I used it for a while and between wiping my inner lids once or twice a day and using the artificial tears, my dry eye syndrome was greatly relieved--more so than the prescription products (including a course of tetracycline) that an eye specialist had prescribed me.

no, there is nothing similar to restasis, and no generic form.
