I had it done four years ago and love it. No problems or side effects, though, if offered, I suggest you think twice about going with mono vision. (one eye fully corrected for distance, one eye partially corrected, allowing for reading distance. If you have contacts, try it with your lenses before having it done permanently)

I did this to save having to use reading glasses, and if I had to do it over again, I would probably pass. Nothing wrong with it, but when you're tired, it makes you work harder to see. Either close up or distance.

It depends on the individual and the surgeon.

If you have a surgeon who is doing his or her 1st couple of hundred cases, post operative complications can run as high as 38%; after that, close to 8 %.

The people who have had complications from the surgery are not very happy, and yet, I know people who have had it who are delighted.
