I didnt do very well when given the pinhole test during the eye chart test. A few months back I woke with swollen wattery eyes and I did shampoo scrubs to fix it.
Is there something wrong with retina when you dont do well on pinhole test? Anything I can do to help my vision get more light to my retina?

So, What did the doctor tell you when you asked him those questions? Usually they explain what it means! You should call them and ask! YEAH! O^O

A pinhole test is usually used as part of a more thorough examination and simply rules out refractive error as a cause of reduced vision -- there is no pass/fail involved and the pinhole test tells you nothing about the retina or any other part of the eye.

What did your doctor say was wrong with your eyes and causing reduced vision? Therapy depends upon diagnosis, you need to know what is wrong with the eye before any help can be suggested.

pinhole test is pretty worthless IMO. as a stand-alone test i personally dont think it means squat. and there is no "passing" or "failing" of that test. (??)

i hardly ever use it.

and even if you did "poorly" on the pinhole test, that doenst mean anything. it certainly doesnt indicate "retina" problems.

you need to ask your eye doctor this stuff.
