Hi I'm 14 years old & i have a eye doctor's appointment thisMonday the report i got below was about 2 years ago & when I always go to UIC in Chicago,IL for my eye's appointment it always creeps me out because I'm scared that they could tell me something bad about me being blind or something like that so plz Yahoo Answers I need your help all i need is if somebody knows if this report is bad or not that bad?

Regarding to your report it is not that bad.Cause i think for now you should be can see clear when you put the spectacle on,right?There have some children which age about 3 already wear a spectacle with +10.00. They are more pity,and i also ever met a customer which have astigmatism power is -6.00.Triple than yours.Don't worry, all is fine.As long as you still can see clear.Eventhough you have to put the spectacle on, may be it was not so convenience to you.
But don't worry, you just need to have an eye test once a year.Then even the power have any changes you also can know it on time.So it already enough for your eye.Good luck!

If the numbers and their signs are all correct, it says you are farsighted (1st #'s after OD/OS); and have astigmatism (2nd #'s); the 3rd numbers are the orientation of the cylindrical component of the lens.
Nobody can judge the health of your eyes by looking at your perscription because a person can need really strong glasses and still have eyes are, essentially, healthy. When you go to the exam, they should be able to tell if there is anything suspicious and refer you to a specialist if necessary, but the chances of that happening are pretty remote.

If you can see right now, you're not blind. You can't be blind without knowing it.
And the only thing thats sorta bad is your vision might be getting worse. But thats normal for everyone.
The report looks normal.

well i have bad eye sight and iv had it that was for yers like 25 years and im not blind

it doesn't look all that bad, talk to your dr about what the reports mean, he/she can explain to you exactly what the numbers mean.... (the numbers are a lot better than mine ;) )
