Has anyone had a scratched or torn cornea that was accompanied by blurred vision (more like you're looking through a cloudy film)?

I do have an eye doctor appointment tomorrow, but thought I'd ask around here.

I wear contact lenses and I have had problems with dry eye in the past. My former doctor (I moved out of state) prescribed Proclear lenses because they are supposed to be the best with letting air into the eye.

Anyway, about three weeks ago I was having a problem with my left eye and couldn't wear my contacts. Eye was a little pink, hurt and sensitive to light. It did get better. But, earlier this week, it started again, though less intense. My eye isn't pink, but super sensitive to light and my vision is blurrier than usual :), like what I described above.

Has anyone had this or know if this is a corneal abrasion?

Thanks for any help!

Corneal Abrasions feel like something in your eye...like sand or grit. Also with some pain and blurred vision. I would be more worried about a corneal ulceration. Please leave your contacts out until after your evaluation. Good Luck!

A corneal abrasion [ scrape ] or laceration [ cut ] REALLY REALLY hurts! - as in your eyes leak tears [ and accompanying snot ] until you get treatment. [ I have had two. ]
See your eye doctor - you may have done something to the lid, that is irritating the eye; or the eyeball itself.
