Lately, almost daily headaches. I had quadruple vision and felt like I was passing out. This only happened once about a month ago, for about 15-20 seconds. Doctors have never been able to visualize the disc's in the back of my eyes (since I was about 15) and diagnosed me with cluster headaches. My vision is very good (on last check, 2 yrs ago), 20/20 and 20/15. I am 39 years old. I take effexor, and my doc says it wouldn't be related to that. What could it be? Should I see an opthamologist?

Thanks for the help, it surely seemed like 4 images from each eye kind of moving around in a circle...

Its hard to say what this could be - It seems more a neurological problem than a vision problem. This could be any of the following: transient ischemic attack; a sudden drop in blood pressure - which sometimes happens when a person rapidly stands up after lying down; and low blood sugar (hypoglycemia) - which sometimes occurs from dieting/skipping meals, or a "blood sugar crash" from eating foods high in sugar.

sure. not a bad idea to get an eye exam.

but just so you know: you cant have "quadruple" vision. you only have 2 eyes, so you can only have 2 images (double vision).
