Seriously now...my mother is losing it. She could quite possibly be Schizophrenic. I was just reading a little about Bipolar Disorder and she fits it to a T. I need to confront my mother because she thinks she is going to move cross country to open a restaurant. This would be in a city she's never been too...makes sense. She has pulled my younger brother out of school because she is, "Sick of the school system." She abandoned my sister and I about 12 years ago and I think she is about to do again to my brother. She gets really overwhelmed and runs away from it all. It really goes on and on with the weirdness. Anyway, I want to confront her with this issue and have my brother come stay with me (his father is not in the picture) so that he can be placed back into school and live in a stable environment. Any ideas on how to go about with this would be greatly appreciated.

I've been under alot of stress lately. Money problems, guy problems, new job a bunch of stuff. I've been pretty bummed out for awhile, but lately...I'm starting to feel like I'm on the verge of a panic attack. I've never had one, but several times today...I felt like I couldn't breathe. I didn't know if I just couldn't catch my breath or if I forgot to breathe or what...its freaking me out though!! Has this ever happened to anyone else?? How do I make it stop??

I have had BPD for 6 years now through a HORRIBLE relationship that I couldn't leave. Finally I got the courage to do it. There is a man in my life now that has loved me for 6 years and has told me for 6 years that he would take me in a heartbeat if I left my boyfriend. For 6 years this man has loved me, and after all this time I get the chance to finally be happy. This man is wonderful to me, tells me he is patient with me and he would even go thru therapy with me if I wanted. I feel like I am dreaming with this man, yet my only problem is I still have those problems with BPD and I told him I can't trust him yet, and he understands but I need to find a book that will help me deal and cope with these problems. I already go to therapy now but I would like further help outside of the doc's office. I already KNOW what BPD is, I need to know HOW to work with it and change my thinking.

How can we treat our son (19yr old who has been diagnosed with schizophrenia a year ago and was treated and hospitalized at the hospital for 2 months and still under treatment and medical care and supervision) with our attitude and behavior as parents? He is so uninterested to do anything and he is an artist as well.

I found a facility to go to for counseling. My insurance will cover it and everything. It's even close to our house.
My Mom has always told me that doctors can't solve everything. She's even told me that all my feelings are in my head. She obviously doesn't want me to go. But I need to. I have to do someting. I have to talk to someone. And that someone isn't my mom. Why doesn't she want me to go and what can I say to her to allow me to go?

I'm a 38 year old man, and I have been taking Remeron, an anti-depressant, for about five years. Two weeks ago, I stopped taking them (behavioural therapy has been successful enough that I don't need them). However, I still have some of the side effects, most annoyingly the delay in achieving orgasm. How long will it take for the side effects to go away? My girlfriend complains that I "take too long" sometimes, and I find it frustrating. Will this effect be permanent? Please advise.

I'm starting Wellbutrin for depression and to quit smoking, but I just don't think I can quit cold turkey. I want to gradually stop. It said on the package to let your doctor know if you smoke before taking this medicine.... Does that mean you can't smoke at all once you take it?
