You really don't get that much of a buzz off of ibuprophen. I accidentally overdosed on it once (Took i think 8 or something like that) And it gives you a little buzz but it is very uncomfortable. I highly doubt that she would use ibuprophen for a high. If she were really getting high off of pills, it would be something like Adderol. Anyways, she could just have these for period cramps. That's what I use them for! Or just if she has a frequent head ache. You never know. We have ibuprophen all over this house for things like cramps and headaches. I would talk to her about it though, just to make sure. Educate her on reading the label to find out how much she really needs to take and such. Good luck!

ibuprofen is a general use painkiller, often used for general aches and pains, cuts, bruises headaches etc. its a very common medication, although 800mg is a strong dose. Now it is not possible to get a buzz off of ibuprofen, the drug just doesn't work that way, period, no matter the dose. BUT to much or taken over a long time can cause kidney damage. maybe your cousin has pain your unaware of or keeps it on hand just in case, i do anyway.

There is no real way to get a buzz off of ibuprohen. Even over dosing to the point of death is extremly difficult, requiring dozens and dozens of pills at once. Even then it would usually be thrown up from upseting your stomach. Does your cousin play sports maybe? It is the active ingrediant in over the counter stuff like motrin. Like everyone else is saying its a pretty good pain releiver. I also use it as an anti-inflamitory.

Are they her prescription pills? If so it is probably for cramps, etc.

Even if they were given to her, they were probably given for the same reason.

You can buy Ibuprofen over the counter, (ie: Advil, Motrin, etc)

Each tablet is 200MG so 4 are 800MG. This is a fairly common prescribed dose of IBP.

It's a pretty good pain reliever. It can be hard on the tummy in high doses for long periods of time, but lots of folks take 4 of those at a time. That's not advising any wisdom in doing so, but it's not uncommon and you can't get high from it.

Just a thought, but should you be looking through her stuff?

I don't know the situation so maybe you should, but unless you're raising her, I doubt it.

I'm pretty sure that she isn't using them to get a buzz of any sort. She may be using them for menstrual cramps depending on how old she is, or just for a headache. ibuprophen isn't a narcotic. it is used as an anti inflammatory drug. overdosing is not very common unless you take the WHOLE bottle. just ask her.

There's not much of a buzz associated with Ibuprofen. If she were abusing them she'd develop severe stomach issues (bleeding, ulcers, etc.) long before she got a buzz. How old is your cousin? When i was a teenager my doctor prescribed 800mg ibuprofen for severe menstrual cramps. If you're concerned about it talk to her. If you're not comfortable with that, you could always bring up your concerns with another trusted member of your family... her parents, your parents... and get their input. She may have an issue that you're unaware of.

Ibuprofen do not give a buzz or high so its very unlikely. Maybe shes in pain and not telling anyone. Perhaps talk to her about it, she may need a confidant;

No they won't give her a buzz, I use these with a prescription for severe pain but they don't make me drowzy or high. Maybe she was in some type of pain you should ask her.

no you can't catch a buzz off of ibuprofen, and if your cousin is taking too much to try and get a buzz she is in for a real shocker when she overdoses and kills her liver
