please dont just stop immediately as it can be dangerous,You have to go back to your g.p and say what you want to do .you should gradually have the dose reduced until it is safe to stop it all together. If you find you are feeling worst without them then ask your gp for a different medication as they dont all make you feel like a zombie, all the best

Right, you should talk to the doctor who prescribed it to you. If yo do not want to do that, titrating off the drug, is a plan. Do not go off "cold turkey", which could cause some real problems. An example of tritating off is: Week one: every other day, take med.....Mon., take med as usual; Tues., skip the med; Wed, take the med; Thurs, off; Fri., on; Sat., off; Sun, on; Week Two: every two days, week three, every 3 days, after week 3, go off completely. This way the med will slowly leave your system. It is worth the 3 weeks of titrating than shutting off completely. Good Luck.

You have to talk to your prescribing doctor. Coming off antidepressants can be brutal. You can get worsening of your depression, vertigo, nausea, vomiting. Besides....if you need to change medications--you should be starting on the new one before you stop the old one. Your doctor can work out a plan to make this happen with the least amount of side effects.

just stop taking it , try and find out whats causing your depression ,
I suffered from depression for years until i found out what was causing it.
I just needed variety in my life , i needed excitement, adventure, experiences. which i just wasnt getting , dwelling on thougts of lost love ones and domestic problems. everything was the same everyday in and out, same job same problems.
If you want to take drugs , smoke cannabis its not adictive and can be taken as and when you need it.
since the age of fifteen i was prescribed many different ssri antidepresents and tranquilizers until i made my own decision and stopped taking them, I prefere to use natural remedies that i have full control over. (even if they are illigal or looked down on by others)
If you stop taking them they will gradually work there way out of your system over four or five days.
